Guide to what's to be
found in Ciao
Famiglia
by Adrian Fletcher (afletch
at paradoxplace dot com)
This
web-site is written by Adrian Fletcher and is about nine-ish
generations of his direct
ancestors. Since the site was launched in mid 2009 it has
grown, in the way of web-sites, much larger than expected and therefore
become more challenging to navigate. The purpose of this short
guide is to outline (with links) what is in the site to help users
find what they want . Many documents are linked to more than
one page - maybe a family tree, photo or narrative page etc - and
sheer size means that not all pages can be updated as soon as new
information is added - so it's a good idea to hunt around or ask.
Also, please let me know if links don't work or lead to odd places!

Having unearthed much of the basic scaffolding of names, dates and
places back to the 1700s, we have started the really interesting bit, which
is
writing illustrated stories of particular lives, geographic areas
and times.
There are many other shorter story / photo pages, and links to all
chronologies, stories, photos etc can be found in each of the
four ancestor charts shown above.
The stories already done and underway include:
|

The James Cooper Stewart

To
keep things manageable, the names in Ciao Famiglia are restricted
mostly to
direct ancestors. They are taken from a much larger
data-base of families built up by Adrian Fletcher and maintained via a "Roots
Magic" family tree program. Some descendant charts generated by this
program are included in the this site's data, and others can be produced
on request if any family researcher has a particular interest.
