Lt Col (Indian Medical Service Retd but recalled for the duration of the war) and Doctor John Adolphus Burton (60 - bride's father, Terry Burton (Gelardi) (wife of RAMC Dr Charles Burton, 26, the bride's brother and daughter of Gusfcav (?) Csesare Edward Gelardi, Fellow of the Zoological Society of London and, for a day job, owner and / or general manager of the Grand Hotel, Folkestone), Cyril Burton (21 - brother, who returned to India for a working life in export / import and eating - he became enormous), Gem Burton (Middlecoat) (44 - mother, born in India), Doris Fletcher (22 - sister), Ethel Fletcher (Burton) (25 - bride), Jack Fletcher (probably) (brother who would have been aged 15 and eventually destined for a career as an officer in the Royal Navy), Doctor Frank (Jimmy) Fletcher (25 - groom), Gwen Fletcher (20 - sister), Elizabeth Fletcher (Procter) (49 - mother, born in Scarborough), Frank Edward Fletcher (51- father, born in Oxenhope, West Yorkshire).  Not present are Ethel's brother Charlie (26) - a doctor (who was at university with Dr Jimmy) with a Field Ambulance on the Western Front and who later died in the evacuation of Singapore in 1942 -  and Dr Jimmy's younger brother Hugh (7).  Bridesmaids not known.  Gem's parents Lt-Col Francis Middlecoat and his wife Mary Middlecoat (Locke) would have been there one hopes, but all the other grandparents had died by then.
